2018 Empty Bowls
Local at Heart Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Making a Difference

Our 2018 Empty Bowls fundraiser was another great success – we again raised funds to help fight hunger right here in our community. Please plan to join us again next year: the need is ongoing, and we need your help!

I want to thank you for allowing me to bring my granddaughters to the Empty Bowls event. They haven’t stopped talking about it and use their bowls every day to remind themselves about the cause. I would very much like to be a volunteer for this event next year.
— Helen, Kingston

Woodcrest Bruderhof Community

The Woodcrest Bruderhof Community in Rifton NY has graciously donated over 200 one-of-a-kind hand-made ceramic bowls! These beautiful pieces were made by two of Woodcrest’s young “potters in training.” The potters were happy and excited to participate in an event that helps the hungry in our region, while gaining real-world experience throwing, painting and glazing bowls. They did a terrific job! Thank you to Woodcrest and these talented young men.
